| Still one of the more popular means for distance education is broadcast satellite. The Center has available a C-band/Ku-band satellite dish that is steerable so that programs from anywhere can be received. Many groups and individuals have participated in meetings and educational programs using this medium. The Center's unique ability to host individuals, small groups and large sized audiences makes the satellite sessions extremely effective and affordable. Depending on the program the Center can also videotape and duplicate sessions. In some instances, the Center has partnered with other groups to purchase programming that is then provided to several individuals throughout southcentral Kansas. |
