Rural Telecommunity Center -- Impact on Business

So, how can the RTC enhance mainstreet business and agriculture? The RTC provides a number of opportunities to the businesses within a community or region. Access to interactive teleconferencing will encourage businesses to increase access to training while reducing their overall training expenses and encourage collaborative work between employees or business since communication is enhanced. Through InterNet and Telemarketing, local services can be marketed within the region and world wide. Increased access to information will assist local businesses, farmers and ranchers to reduce costs, increase awareness to changes that impact their business, and increase access to supporting expertise. The RTC will also help communities attract new economic development by encouraging businesses to move to their community or by using the Telecommuity Center to support those people who live in our community but work for corporations in large urban communities.

The RTC's ability to allow your community to link up to other communities and their mainstreet businesses, agriculture providers, urban and tertiary health care providers, advanced educational institutions, such as colleges and trade schools, and to advanced information services, such as university libraries and governmental agencies. The RTC will serve to enhance the economic viability of each individual and business within the community.
