RHF worked with the Cameron Rural Health Care System to prepare and submit a successful REA application in the January 1995 cycle. This group is comprised of five Medicare Certified Rural Health Clinics, two general services clinics, three independent outpatient clinics and one internal medicine in seven communities (Cameron, Jamesport, Hamilton, Pattonsburg, Stewartsville, Gallatin and Maysville) the hospital of Cameron and relationships with Radiologist in Liberty and other specialist in Kansas City and St. Joseph, Missouri. This application was for the implementation of a Distance Learning/Medical Link or Telemedicine infrastructure that builds on the existing efforts of the Cameron Rural Health Care System and constructs the basic technologies to flexibly address the current identified applications and future applications. The telemedicine infrastructure will support initial Telemedicine applications of case management, teleradiology and interactive teleconferencing for the purpose of supporting patient and continuing medical education and medical consultation.
