Rural Health Futures, Inc. worked with Coulee Community Hospital to prepare and submit a Rural Health Care Outreach application in March 1994. This application included Coulee Community Hospital, the Colville Confederated Tribes, Tribal Health Services, Empire Health Systems, Inland Northwest Regional Perinatal Center, Family Medicine of Spokane and Scared Heart Medical Center. The primary goal of this project was to increase the quality of prenatal care to the participating rural areas and their surrounding communities. The proposed application focused on interactive teleconferencing for consultations and education.
