In December, 1993 Rural Health Futures, Inc. conducted an initial education session on Telemedicine and the future of this technology for Rapides Medical Center. RHF evaluated Rapides current direction and future goals to determine what the benefits and opportunities would be with Telemedicine. During this session a number of surrounding rural communities were considered and evaluated on their participation in the Telemedicine network and what benefits they could offer the network.
