RHF worked with St. Francis Regional Medical Center, in Wichita, Kansas to assist them in the development of a Telemedicine network. The first step was to identify the communities around which to establish a network. A plan was then developed to define a Telemedicine system specifically for the communities in the network which included - St. Francis and a number of rural facilities and their communities to extend their services to: Arkansas City Memorial Hospital, Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center, Citizens Medical Center, St. Catherine Hospital, Central Kansas Medical Center, Hutchinson Hospital Corporation, Newton Medical Center, Phillips County Hospital, Pratt Regional Center and William Newton Memorial Hospital. Once the Telemedicine system was designed an REA grant application was prepared and submitted.
