RHF worked with the community of Trenton, Princeton and St. Lukes Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri to assist them in understanding the role of telemedicine and telecommunication, realizing the importance of telecommunications, evaluating the current telecommunications usage and needs and evaluating the value of integrating services or collaboration among various entities within the region. RHF is now assisting Trenton with a Community Assessment in which we will evaluate the commitment from individuals/groups for telecommunications, assess the telecommunications infrastructure, identify specific applications, determine funding sources, conduct a Quality of Life Study and evaluate regional opportunities. Upon completion of the Community Assessment the next step will be the building of a Rural Telecommunity Center.
