Chelsea Football Club does not want to trigger Enzo’s termination money and chase McAllister if the winter window is not signed.

December 31-if Chelsea cannot get Enzo Fernandez in the winter window, they will consider bringing in Brighton midfielder McAllister, according to the latest report by the famous Times reporter Tom Roddy.
Enzo is a top priority for the West London club, but Benfica’s £106 million termination clause is an obstacle and the Portuguese side are trying to persuade the midfielder to stay until the summer.
The Times has learned that Enzo’s international team-mate Steve McAllister is an option for Chelsea. He only signed a new contract with Brighton in October, which expires in June 2025 and can be renewed for another year.
But the 24-year-old is seen as a more affordable option in the transfer market as Chelsea plan to complete various deals to improve Graham Porter’s squad.
Burley established a strong working relationship with Brighton, signing Porter and his five-man coaching staff, signing defender Mark Kukurellia for £63 million, then poaching Paul Winstanley to join the newly formed signing team.
Chelsea are interested in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Bellingham, but they are also aware that the competition for him next summer will be one of the fiercest. West Ham midfielder Declan Rice is also under consideration, but his manager David Moyes insists he will not leave during the January transfer window.
