February 24th After losing to Real Madrid at home, Elliott accepted an interview from Liverpool’s official website in the training center
interview.
He said that the team will respond to outside doubts in the away game against Crystal Palace, strive for three consecutive Premier League victories, and try their best to take away three points.
It’s been a mixed week, Harvey, but we have a chance for a turnaround soon.
Does it help that we don’t have time to dwell on a difficult night against Real Madrid?
Basically yes, this is our chance to right our wrongs again.
That’s the beauty of football, you can’t dwell on things too much.
You can’t get too excited about the last win because there’s another game coming up and you need to be ready.
That’s exactly what we’re going to do.
Another tough game against Crystal Palace and hopefully we can correct that again.
It’s important to remember the progress Madrid made before the game, with back-to-back wins and clean sheets.
Yes.
Obviously unbelievable games against Newcastle and Everton have been our standard this season.
We took out the state of last season and the season before.
For us, it’s about getting things done, getting out there and making sure we get the basics right again.
Don’t get too discouraged by the loss to Real Madrid because it stings and annoys us.
That’s football, you just go out in every game and try to correct it – that’s what we’re going to do and we’ll be doing against Crystal Palace.
Having said that, it’s going to be another tough game.
Obviously, it’s always a tough place out there and we need another good performance to get the win.
When you look at the Premier League table, obviously it looks better now than in recent weeks.
When there is a goal in mind, this team is very capable of digging deep and working together to achieve that goal…
I think for us, it’s always been motivating to try to prove people wrong.
I think a lot of people may doubt whether we can get a place in the Champions League, such as being at the top of the table, or going further in the Champions League.
For us, that’s always been the motivation.
We want to keep proving people wrong.
We always want to go out and enjoy the experiences, enjoy the challenges because at the end of the day, that’s what makes us players and what gives us the opportunity to learn again at different stages, in different environments.
As I said, it’s the drive to get things done and to get as far as possible.
That’s exactly what we’re trying to do.
Obviously we’ve seen the likes of Van Dijk, Firmino and Jota come back over the past few weeks.
The game is coming and everyone has a chance to play their part…
no doubt.
We need every member of the team, the coaching staff and the fans.
It’s going to be another difficult time for us, but also a busy one and we need that support from everyone at Liverpool.
They’ve been doing this all season, despite the tough times.
For the players, we just have to be ready when we’re asked to, go out and make sure we give 110% for the team, the badge, the fans and work together to get a result.
Everyone is ready – they seem to be ready for training.
Everyone was firing on all cylinders, ready to go, ready to prove people wrong.
We face Crystal Palace this weekend and they’ve had a rough year lately, but their pitch is always a tricky place, isn’t it?
What kind of game are you looking forward to?
It’s a tough place, with hostile fans next to the opposition pitch, always behind them.
They are a well-trained team and there is a lot of talent in the team.
But like any game in the Premier League, it’s never an easy one.
You always need to put in 110% effort to get the result and make sure you are fully focused throughout the game.
It’s always a tough game, so we’re looking forward to this one.
We cannot forget that they have very talented players.
But it’s actually up to us to do our best and hope to achieve a good result and play Liverpool’s true level.
