According to an exclusive report by Arsenal reporter Simon Collings of the London Evening Flag, Fulham are expected to make a formal offer for Arsenal defender Cedric Suarez in the next few days.
The West Londoner is hoping to sign a right-back in the upcoming January transfer window and has identified Cedric as their preferred target. Buyout loans and direct transfer deals are under consideration.
Cedric is a long-term target for Fulham and coach Marco Silva is interested in him, who worked with the defender in Portuguese sports eight years ago.
Fulham face competition from Atletico Madrid and Bayer Leverkusen.
All three clubs have contacted Cedric’s representatives and are expected to hold formal talks with Arsenal soon, with Fulham at the top of the line. Arsenal have not yet decided whether to allow Cedric to leave next month and manager Mikel Arteta has previously said his staff are not rich.
