According to the latest report in Portuguese newspaper Ball, Benfica is close to reaching an agreement with Northern New Zealand on the transfer of Norwegian striker Andreas Sheldrup.
Benfica is expected to pay a transfer fee of 10 million euros plus a follow-up bonus of 5 million euros for the 18-year-old, who has scored 10 goals in 17 official games this season. After the first round of negotiations led by sports director Rui Pedro Braz (Rui Pedro Braz), the foundation for a final agreement has been laid.
Benfica’s current goal is to bring in Sheldrup next summer, with Liverpool, Arsenal, Borussia Dortmund, Internazionale, Juventus and Sevilla all keeping a close eye on Sheldrup and are expected to be left behind by the Portuguese giants.
