08 February According to the latest report from Football.London Chelsea writer Bobby Vincent, Chelsea midfielder
N’Golo Kante has been recovering alone at Cobham since last weekend and a source has told Bobby Vincent that Kante is close to joining the first-team squad.
Chelsea are hoping Kante will be back in training with the team this weekend.
However, the Blues are understandably cautious not to rush the France international out of six months.
If all goes according to plan, then Chelsea could return Kante to the squad for the game against Tottenham on February 26.
That would be the ideal scenario for the Blues, who face Borussia Dortmund at Stamford Bridge on March 7 with a trickier schedule in March.
The Premier League clash with Leeds on March 4 could be one to watch if Kante does not feature against Tottenham.
For Chelsea, keeping Kante fit and active for the remainder of the season will be crucial if they are to finish in the top four and, of course, their Champions League campaign.
