Mayor of Milan: I wanted to renovate the San Siro, but the Milan duo didn’t agree.

On December 24th, Milan Mayor Giuseppe Sara spoke about the construction of a new stadium between Milan and Inter when he appeared on Passa dal BSMT, revealing that he had hoped to renovate the San Siro / Meazza stadium.
“We know that judgment can be emotional rather than rational, but my role makes it impossible for me to be emotional. One thing remains the same in my reason: it is difficult to have two stadiums, and they are adjacent to each other. Especially because the San Siro stadium works 70-80 days a year, and if we keep it and hand it over to a large stadium management agency, then the people who manage it, because the stadium also needs to be renovated, may have to run at least 120 days a year. However, it also needs to ask local residents whether to accept the two stadiums. ”

We are discussing with the two clubs how to help residential areas.
