December 30-Barcelona officially announced that after an appeal, the Madrid Court of Arbitration for Sport has temporarily suspended Levan’s suspension and will be able to play in tomorrow’s league match with the Spaniard. The arbitration court will review Levan’s suspension and then determine whether to uphold the original verdict.
Levan was sent off against Osasuna before the World Cup, then made a nose-touching gesture and was suspended for three games after being reviewed by the Football Association’s Competition Committee.
Barcelona then appealed several times until the Court of Arbitration for Sport. Last week, the arbitration court dismissed the appeal, but Barcelona filed another complaint.
