German media Bild reported that Bayern’s defence will once again usher in a youth team player, 17-year-old centre-back Buchmann will enter the first team next season.
The article says Bayern have spent a lot of money on defence stars in the past few years: Lucas Lucas of 80 million euros, Derecht of 67 million euros, Hupamecano of 42.5 million euros and Pawar of 35 million euros.
Bayern’s hope now is that after Croatia international Steinic, another 17-year-old youth player Buchmann will also become a professional team player, he is also considered to be a candidate for future defensive leader.
According to Bild, the Bayern U19 centre-back will become a member of Nagelsmann next season and has been involved in first-team training several times since July. And his game style is reminiscent of the previous Bayern centre-back Boateng.
Buchmann, who is 1.88 meters tall and currently plays in the German U19 league, has made five appearances as captain in the youth Champions League.
