Platini: Pele is the greatest player, the whole of football, the god of football

On December 30th French media team newspaper reporter Vincent Duluc interviewed French legendary star Michel Platini.

Team Daily: what does Pele mean to you?
Platini: he is the footballer of the year, the history of football, the discovery of football, the whole of football. In 1970, I was 15 years old, in my imagination, his figure grew up with me.

Platini: it must be. For me, there are other No. 10, like Puskash and Roger PiAnthony, but he left a deep impression on the history of the 10th with his creativity and talent as a scorer.

Platini: yes, we are friends. I like him, and I know he likes me too. I remember the first time in 1979, at the end of a friendly match against France in New York, France beat the United States 6-0.
He announced me as his successor on the spot, which is good, but I think he told a lot of people (smile). He is a good, open-minded person with a very professional approach to all business transactions.
I remember one day in 2007, when I was looking for a house near Geneva, I met him on the platform of the building because he came from the home of a Brazilian friend! Later, I often communicated with him at FIFA.

Platini: yes, he takes part in everything and agrees to everything, because he is really a good man. As a result, we took the legendary picture of the three of us, Maradona and the famous “drug” jersey.

Platini: yes! It is Pele who gives us the most emotion. In football matches, we sometimes use statistics to compare incomparable things. Nothing in the history of the World Cup can be compared to what Pele did at the 1970 World Cup.
