reporter tariq panja pointed out on social media that the European Court of Justice rejected the claim of Uefa’s monopoly and won a resounding victory in the showdown with the promoters of the UEFA Super League.
“Uefa won a resounding victory today when the opinion of the European Court of Justice adjudicators (supported by 70 to 80 per cent of the judges) rejected the accusation that Uefa had an unfair monopoly by threatening to punish unauthorized matches,” tariq panja wrote.
