On December 30th Portuguese media reported that when Enzo Fernandez joined Benfica from Riverbed, Benfica finally agreed on the full details of the additional terms of 10 million euros + 8 million euros.
First of all, 10 million euros is a fixed transfer fee. Benfica will pay a transfer fee of 10 million euros in three installments, which must be completed by February 2024.
Benfica will face Braga today local time, and Benfica will have to pay an additional bonus of 2 million euros if Enzo plays at least 45 minutes in Game 25.
Like the FM game, Benfica has paid 2 million euros after 10 appearances for Enzo.
The final 4 million additional clause will be paid when Enzo makes 40-50 appearances, of course, Enzo will probably have left Benfica by then.
However, since Riverbed has a 25 per cent share, Benfica will pay a maximum “transfer fee” of 18 million euros in any case, but some of it will be paid in the form of a second share.
